MA Latin-American Studies

Spanish is spoken in a vast area of our globe. Hence the Department of Spanish studies not only studies Spain today, but also its history which inevitably acquaints the students with some of Spain’s former colonies. Since Islam was introduced to Europe through Spain, religion in Spain, in particular Islam, constitutes part of the curriculum of this program. Evidently, literary movements as well as other aspects of life such as economic, political and social affairs are studied by the students. This program, apart from core courses in Political Science, also offers core courses in key disciplinary areas of International Studies, as well as a wide range of courses which are both discipline and area based.
