You will probably need to stay at a hotel or guest house while your student dorms are allocated. You can use the University of Tehran’s own guest house during the registration period. (Rooms are subject to availability.)
When you arrive at the airport ONLY use the Yellow/Green airport services to get to your accommodation otherwise you may be overcharged.
You will only need to change about (US)$ 100 at the airport for the first few days.
Registration is usually during the second week of September and classes begin a week later. So make sure you are here in good time to sort out your registration, student dorm, Persian courses etc.
It’s better if you are here on the first day of registration.
The main campus will have orientation sessions for all its International Students, however, the faculty will also conduct induction sessions and take you on a tour around the campus. A tour of Tehran may also be included for you.
