1st issue of English-language journal of World Sociopolitical Studies published

The 1st issue of the research quarterly of the Iranian World Studies Association and the Faculty of World Studies, World Sociopolitical Studies, is published electronically.

The quarterly is published with the aim of focusing on country-based, regional, and international studies in the fields of sociology and politics. The main issue discussed in the journal are:

  • Theorizing in the field of regional, international, and bilateral relationships;
  • Interdisciplinary studies of the world’s countries in the fields of sociology, politics, economics, and culture;
  • International organizations and their role in changing the sociopolitical status of the world’s countries;
  • Studying the social, technological, security, economic, and political aspects of bilateral and multilateral relationships of the world’s countries with a focus on Iran relations;
  • Studying the impacts of global and local phenomena such as war, terrorism, peace, security, human rights, justice, racial segregation, and immigration.

The 1st issue of the journal includes articles on Russia’s economic growth, local-global identity of Kyoto, policymaking in national security in Iraq, rise of the military to power in Egypt, non-aligned movement, and extremist right wing parties in Europe.
