Zionist Regime Studies

A scientific and precise study of one’s enemies or rivals, as well as of peoples under potential domination, has always been a priority for advanced nations. The second case is reflected in Middle Eastern and Oriental Studies in Europe and the United States. The best examples of the first case are Russian Studies in the U.S. and American Studies in Russia.

Although Israeli Studies is a relatively young field compared to other country studies, it has seen remarkable growth in recent years worldwide, especially in the U.S. Currently, there are 15 Israeli Studies centers and 21 temporary or permanent academic chairs in U.S. universities.

Israeli Studies are also expanding in Canada, European countries, Russia, China, and Australia. This development is pursued through training local scholars in the U.S. and Israel, sending professors from these countries to foreign universities, organizing conferences, sending students to English-language Israeli universities, and ultimately establishing courses, centers, or academic programs.

The Zionist Regime Studies program at the School of World Studies aims to create a space for gaining a more precise and scientific understanding of the internal politics, cultural and social issues, and foreign policies of the Zionist regime. It also seeks to develop a correct understanding of the origins of Zionism globally and regionally, including its goals and plans.
