Master’s Program in Iranian Studies
Introduction
Given that Iranian Studies is a specialization within the broader Master’s program in Regional Studies, the significance, objectives, and structure of this program generally align with the content outlined in the revised curriculum of the Regional Studies discipline (encompassing 13 specializations), as approved by the University’s Educational Planning Council on October 16, 2007. However, since, according to a clause in the resolution establishing the Regional Studies program by the Council for the Expansion of Higher Education, the Iranian Studies specialization is also specifically offered to non-Iranian students, and because the license to implement this specialization through the foreign student admission mechanism at the Faculty of World Studies was issued by the University’s Educational Planning Council on May 18, 2011, it is essential to clearly describe and explain the significance and objectives of this specialization from the perspective of its presentation to an international audience.
